Why Regular Testing Matters for Common Core Students
The second term builds on everything covered in Term 1, moving into more advanced grammar and vocabulary — from health and hobbies to money, technology, and the environment. These three tests follow the same rhythm as Term 1: two short quizzes after Units 6–7 and 8–9, then a fuller Global Test covering Units 6–10.
As with the Term 1 tests, every question is built directly from the real Outlook vocabulary, grammar, and functions taught in these units.

Three ready-to-print tests using real classroom exercise formats — matching, gap-fill, verb transformation, word-bank exercises, and situational responses — plus a full answer key for each.
What's inside each test
- Units 6–7 Language Quiz — 1 page, 20 points, 40 minutes. Health and medicine vocabulary, modals of obligation, reflexive pronouns, hobbies, and the simple past.
- Units 8–9 Language Quiz — 1 page, 20 points, 40 minutes. Asking for permission, object pronouns, question tags, money vocabulary, and superlatives.
- Units 6–10 Global Test — 2 pages, 20 points, 50 minutes. A reading passage with comprehension questions, a language section spanning all five units, and a writing task.

How to Use These Tests in Your Classroom
Give the Units 6–7 quiz shortly after finishing Unit 7, and the Units 8–9 quiz after Unit 9. Save the Global Test for the end of the year, once Unit 10 is complete, as a full end-of-year checkpoint.
Classroom tip
Since this term covers more abstract topics (money, technology, the environment), consider reviewing the word-bank vocabulary from each quiz as a five-minute warm-up before testing day.
