What Is an 'About Me' Profile?
An “About Me” profile is a short piece of writing where you introduce yourself. It usually includes your name, age, where you are from, and something you enjoy.
A good “About Me” profile doesn’t need to be long. Four or five short sentences are enough!
“About Me” profile هو نص قصير نقدم فيه أنفسنا: الاسم، العمر، من أين نأتي، وشيء نحبه. لا يجب أن يكون طويلا، تكفي 4 أو 5 جمل قصيرة.
Useful Sentence Starters
Here are simple sentence starters you can use — you already know all these words!
“To be” changes with the person: I am, You are, She is.
هذه جمل بسيطة يمكنك استخدامها، وأنت تعرف كل هذه الكلمات بالفعل: My name is… (اسمي هو)، I am from… (أنا من)، My hobby is… (هوايتي هي).
A Model Profile
Read this example profile. Notice how each sentence uses something you already learned:
Hi! My name is Hamza. I am 15 years old. I am from Morocco. I am Moroccan. My hobby is football. Nice to meet you!
See how the profile starts with a greeting and ends with a friendly phrase? You learned both of these in Lesson 1!
