Learn how to ask about prices and give your opinion about something in English! A…
Welcome to Unit 6! In this unit, we will talk about health. Let’s start by learning how to ask how someone feels and give them simple advice.
Asking How Someone Feels
When someone looks unwell, we can ask them these questions:
عندما يبدو شخص ما غير بخير، نسأله: “What’s the matter?” أو “What’s wrong?” أو “Are you okay?” (هل أنت بخير؟).
Describing Symptoms
Here is how we describe what is wrong:
I have a headache.
I feel sick.
My throat hurts.
هكذا نصف ما نشعر به: “I have a headache” (عندي صداع)، “I feel sick” (أشعر بالمرض)، “My throat hurts” (حلقي يؤلمني).
Giving Advice
To give simple health advice, we use “should”:
You should rest.
You should drink water.
لإعطاء نصيحة صحية بسيطة، نستخدم “should”، مثل: “You should rest” (يجب أن ترتاح) أو “You should drink water” (يجب أن تشرب الماء).
Responding with Sympathy
When someone tells you they feel unwell, you can respond kindly:
I’m sorry to hear that.
Take care of yourself.
عندما يخبرك شخص أنه غير بخير، يمكنك الرد بلطف: “I’m sorry to hear that” (آسف لسماع ذلك) أو “Take care of yourself” (اعتنِ بنفسك).
